The fellowship is benevolently supported by funding, knowledge and infrastructure partners who together enable our sustenance and smooth functioning.

Over the years, we have been fortunate to receive grant support from various institutions. From 2010-13 grant supported by ICICI Foundation; who helped us emerge as the pioneers of the fellowship space social space. From 2015-19, the Tata Trust came forward as part of their strategy for young professionals to strengthen, build and create human resources for social sector. 2019-20, InfoEdge India Ltd. and WaterAid India grant supported us. Currently, the fellowship is supported by the Human Capability Foundation.

In 2017, a group of India Fellow alumni, supported by Paul Hamlyn Foundation, started working on a direct action intervention in the Bundelkhand region. Beginning with Panna district of Madhya Pradesh, where the issues range from migration to conservation, our team first got familiar with the ecosystem using processes like human centered design and systems thinking to come up with an action plan. This gave birth to Koshika, an effort in maternal and neonatal healthcare. The initiative has grown and is in its 4th year now!

For marketing and promotion of India Fellow so that we reach the potential youth, we have collaborated with agencies like The Media Ant, Internshala,, LinkedIn, Mailchimp, Netcore, FastSMS amongst others. Online blogging portals like Feminism In India, YouthKiAwaaz, VillageSquare, IDROnline and similar such portals as well as publication platforms like Notionpress have been very supportive to take the voices, learning and insights of our fellows and their communities from the grassroots to a larger audience.

Located in Udaipur, Vidya Bhawan (Krishi Vigyan Kendra) provides quality education to children and youth from all sections of society. The induction is conducted in their campus. Indian Social Institute hosts the fellows during their midpoint, in Delhi. It is a Jesuit centre for research, training, and action for socio-economic development and human rights. The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) specializes in energy, environment and sustainable development, in Gurugram, Haryana. We conduct our workshops and other key events here.
