Remote Tribal areas in India are still deprived of access to proper healthcare, even after more than 70 years of independence. One such place is Kalahandi district of Odisha. Poor administration from government’s side and lack of political will has led to people dying of curable diseases, one of which is Malaria. Clearly, the administration has failed to make any progress.
Last month, Swasthya Swaraj Society organized an event on the occasion of World Malaria Day. The objective was to spread awareness about Malaria and help community understand preventive as well as curative measures in case anyone is suffering from the disease. Here is a short clip for an overview of the entire event.
