Women For Women : A Quiet Revolution In Jharkhand

This is a series of short interviews with women at Ekjut, who are working hard to improve maternal and neonatal healthcare in Jharkhand.

Here are some of the terms you may want to know:

PLA – Participatory methods adopted for learning and action. Know more here.
FLAG – A project on facilitated learning and action groups, currently being scaled up in all districts of Jharkhand. This link will help you to find out more about the approach, functioning and impact.
NHM – National Health Mission. Please read all detail on the government website.
AAM – Action Against Malnutrion, a program with Public Health Resource Network in four states of India, including Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. The role of Ekjut and the overall structure is explained here.
