This was penned to portray the voices of those amongst us who are downtrodden. While writing this, the visuals in my mind were that of migrant laborers, who were struggling to get back home during the mega lockdown. They did not have any avenues for their voices to be heard.
I had written this poem during the first lockdown when the migrant laborers were stranded. All they could do and did was walk back. Those images had a very powerful effect on me. The line “wizards of sapiens are far to hear, the voices from the dusk and dawn” says that the people with the power to help them, don’t hear their plight, in turn making them voiceless.
